Got this one to replace an original gas stop pkg ( apprx 2yrs old ). The 1 I was replacing failed but just to be sure I will attach it sometime in the future to make sure it was a failure & not something else causing a huge lp leak at the connection knob. The new 1 is working great & I prefer the braided connection hose rather than the rubber hoses that came with the original. The last LP fill on my tanks ( 2-40lb ) I believe they maxed the fill capacity out so when the tanks got hot from the sun the one was off gassing via pressure relief ~ Not sure if this had anything to do with the failure @ the knob connection to the tank. Like the product a lot.

Solid materials, follow the installation video, it will walk you right through the setup. Make sure you use the spay bottle with dish soap to check for leaks!!! I thought my connections were tight, they were NOT. I found one small fighting that was not quite tight enough, the soapy water produced a noticeable bubble. I tightened the fitting and retested, all clear. I will recheck frequently on an upcoming 7 week road trip to make sure all is well. The big plus ARE THE GAUGES. No more guessing how much propane is in your tank. Note: make sure you rotate tor propane bottles to accommodate the new hoses, they are stiff and perhaps a bit longer. Good product, the leak test is simple.

One thing I love about Airgear products is that they don’t sell anything you could use and benefit from and the instructions are always clear. This assembly of parts was no exception, it even came with a clear spray bottle to fill with soapy water and check for leaks. One change that could be made to the instructions is that my kit needed an 11mm and 16mm wrench and not the 9/16 and 5/8 that was called for, other than that perfect, thank you Airgear

The Gas Stop assemblies were easy to install and in addition to knowing that propane will be stopped if something happens, being able to see the gas level of the tank (by looking at the gauge) is an added benefit. (No more guessing at gas level.)

This product was extremely easy to install. They packaged up everything you need including Teflon tape and fittings. Watching the video right before install made the job a 5 minute procedure. I but this product, mainly so I could tell how full the propane tanks were before each trip. The added safety features and the ability to detect any leaks is a huge bonus. It was money well spent. Installation was fairly straightforward in my 2019 Globetrotter, except that the tanks had to be turned so the hoses would fit (see photo). With the tanks turned, the clamping bar does not fit as well, but I think it will still secure the tanks. I also had to raise the selector valve, but this was simple because it is mounted on a threaded rod which had plenty of length.

They worked exactly as they were supposed to! We had an accident earlier this year and the gas line was clipped when we went in the ditch. With all that we had to deal with it was nice not having to deal with getting the propane shut off as we were accessing the damage.

This is a purchase we were excited about getting, not only because of the safety factor, but also for us being able to have our propane fridge on while on the road. That's a big one for us. We most often travel in our Airstream with the propane active to keep the refer cold. (Pro and Cons have been discussed ( ad nauseam.)

Ordered, received quickly, and installed in a jiffy after watching the video a couple of times. No leaks! Have not traveled with these units installed yet, but feel much safer traveling with the propane turned on for the refer.

A great piece of safety gear. Installed pretty easy except that the regulator on our Edgar was the same height of the “shoulders” of the tanks. When I had to add the brass reducing fittings to the regulator they plus the hose connections made the tanks sit more to the outside edges of the base. Both the tank cover and the tank collar hold-down would not fit correctly. The solution was to raise the height of the regulator on the threaded rod so that the fittings cleared the “shoulders” of the tanks but still allowed enough room for the tank hold-down to be tightened correctly. Thanks for the great kit - it gives you everything you need!

The kit made the replacement so easy, I went on so easy I went back to the website and selected “get notified” when back in stock.

So easy to install. What did I need? Two crescent wrenches. Everything else was included in the kit
I did need need the adapter since our Airstream is a 2017.
I rotated my tank a little more so the hose was not bent in a manner that would cause it to leak or deteriorate faster than normal.
Which is the reason why I needed a new hose. Both of my original hoses were bent to nearly 90° against each the tanks.
Now I am waiting for the same kit to get restocked so I can do my other tank.
This package is well thought out and provides all the equipment you need to install it.

The Gas Stop was an easy installation with the included pigtails and gas tape. Just remember to push the gauge 4-5 times to prime it after installation. We feel better with an extra layer of protection against propane leaks.

Watch the installation video! If you do, it’s a very simple process. It took twenty minutes to do the conversion. Also, do NOT skip the soapy water leak test. I had a leak at one fitting which was easily eliminated with a slight wrench tightening,

I love the idea of the Gas Stop a little more piece of mind while traveling. The instructions were easy to follow for installation but the 90 degree cable didn't fit without leaking, even with teflon tape. Not sure what to do with it at this point.

They were easy to put on, except for loosening the cover to shift it a little to install (as it just fits). Then when you turn gas on to pressurize the line, you push down the gauge several times to override the high flow device (pressurizing up or line breakage is high flow). I can now feel better leaving gas on keeping fridge on traveling.

While the link to the video was helpful, the installation instructions provided with the GAS STOP was straight forward and easy to follow. It was great that the associated hoses and brass angles were included as part of the package. While safety is the overall objective of the automatic propane shut-off valves, having the propane tank level gauges is an added visual benefit of the product.
We are very happy with our purchase as well as the finished installation.

Got two of these for peace of mind for both propane tanks. It's a little tight fit for Airstreams, Hopefully will never have the need for the primary function during a propane failure but, I do like the guage feature for propane levels. Had to adjust tank locations slightly to make it fit properly. Recheck your connections and DO check for leaks immediately. I had a small leak at first and had to re-tighten one connection which stopped the leak. Be sure to counter (hold) fittings when making connections.So far, everything works well on propane with the new valves.

These shutoff valves provide great peace of mind. Any unusually large gas flow will cause them to shut down. Installation was pretty easy, just remember to install the hoses so they allow the cover to be replaced smoothly.

I just installed two GasStop w/ Airstream Installation Kits on my Flying Cloud 27FB. The installation video was very helpful to augment the written instructions. The one addition I would offer is to heed the warning tag that was attached to the regulator to use two wrenches when dis-attaching the existing hose from the regulator using a 3/4" wrench to secure the regulator while unscrewing the hose fitting with a 9/16". I had to rotate the two tanks outward to accommodate the tubing length within the housing. The pressure gauge on the GasStop is a real bonus to indicate how full the tank is.

We literally just installed these on our propane tank yesterday. we were totally unaware of the Airstream adapter kit is it possible to buy the adapter kit separately since we already have the gas stops for both tanks. We have a Bambi 2018
